About the ÖAWI

ÖPUK is an associate member of the ÖAWI and represents its members.

The Austrian Agency for Scientific Integrity works to ensure good scientific practice in the Austrian research and education landscape. To this end, the ÖAWI provides awareness-raising, education and prevention work and offers individual counselling and training to raise awareness among researchers. The Commission for Scientific Integrity of the ÖAWI takes action in cases of suspected violations of good scientific practice. It investigates the seriousness of a violation in a professional manner and, if necessary, makes suggestions for subsequent measures. Members of the ÖAWI are universities, universities of applied sciences, universities of teacher education, non-university research organisations and research funding bodies.
